Bar Martinelli Am Bahnbetriebswerk 5 69115 Heidelberg, Germany Website

Our collaboration with Angelo Martinelli began with the Tambour Trolley and continued with his latest venture, Bar Martinelli, where we delivered a custom Tayēr Single Station with an integrated cooling system. Designed to support efficient service within a compact footprint, the station anchors the bar’s workflow while maintaining a clean, minimal presence within the space.
Bar Martinelli is located in the basement of the historic Betriebswerk building, one of Germany’s oldest railway depots. The raw architectural character of the building - its original sprayed concrete walls dating back to the 1920s -has been carefully preserved as part of the protected structure. This historic framework is contrasted with interior elements inspired by 1960s and 70s design, creating a space where industrial heritage meets a more refined atmosphere.
The bar operates with an intimate capacity of 25 seats and an owner-led approach to hospitality. Guests are personally welcomed and thoughtfully seated, shaping an experience that prioritizes attentiveness, discretion, and warmth from the moment they arrive.
Behind the bar, Martinelli’s program focuses on reinterpretations of classic cocktails through precise technique and careful ingredient preparation. Methods such as extraction, maceration, fermentation, and refinement are used to explore the depth and clarity of raw ingredients.
