The latest addition to London’s vibrant cocktail scene, Soma Canary Wharf, builds on the success of the original Soma Soho, bringing its Indian-inspired speakeasy charm to the city’s financial district. Conceived by Kricket co-founders Rik Campbell and Will Bowlby, this venue is a testament to meticulous design and thoughtful collaboration.

At the heart of this project is the bespoke bar station — a striking centerpiece crafted in partnership with Cake Architecture. With its minimalist aesthetic, the bar station is not just a functional piece but a groundbreaking work of steel sculpture. Pushing the boundaries of bar design, the project features finely etched steel slabs, composed to create an intimate and social space. Each detail has been carefully considered, from the intricate craftsmanship to the inviting atmosphere. Every detail of the bar station, from its bold curves to its shadow gaps, was engineered to enhance the guest experience. Beyond aesthetics, the station was designed to facilitate seamless service, aligning perfectly with Soma’s philosophy of creating intimate, memorable spaces.
